About

Firstly i would like to thank anyone that visits this site, and really hope that you find some information that helps you in your study or work. Writing a blog is something i’ve wanted to do for sometime now, but time constraints of work or study have never allowed it. I’m aware many people write blogs to accompany their CCIE study, as much as i would have liked to do this, I had to focus all of my attention to learning the tech without burdening myself with the additional overhead of trying to fathom out WordPress.

The exact format of this blog will no doubt evolve with time, but for now the intention is to provide guides and hopefully useful information for all things networking related. The emphasis will definitely be around Cisco technologies, but I’d also like to bring other vendors into the mix such as HP who are clearly making an impact on the once dominant Cisco.

As well as providing information for others, another reason is for my own personal reference of build guides and config snippets etc. something i really should have done when studying for my lab. Just recently I’ve been playing around with many of the network simulators/emulators becoming available and intend to guide those who are unaware they exist or have had issues using them. I myself have had to reference a collection of sites and docs to get these applications and appliances working, and would like to address the points which i had problems with and share with others.
